The Cruise Association of Newfoundland and Labrador will be hosting an Exploration Cruise Forum in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador October 12 – 14, 2011.
The third provincial Exploration Cruise Forum will provide an opportunity for delegates throughout Newfoundland and Labrador to interact with Cruise Line owners, operators and planners. Representatives from the international adventure and expedition cruise sector, along with provincial cruise stakeholders, will gather at the Delta Hotel in St. John’s for the 3-day event. Entitled “Find Your Edge…in Newfoundland and Labrador”, this forum is designed to provide an opportunity for cruise ship operators and planners to explore the destination possibilities, discuss the issues surrounding cruise tourism and examine ways to increase our appeal as a cruise destination in order to grow the industry in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The symposium will include Familiarization Tours for Cruise Line Executives either pre- or post-forum, as well as a full-day Exceeding Expectations – Port Preparedness workshop, followed by panel session, luncheons and dinners that will address industry best practices pertaining to such topics as Destination Development, Influencing Travel Decisions, New Experiences... New Discoveries, Transatlantic North, Regulations and Homeporting/Open Jaw.
